In implementation of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s dream, and in line with the Abu Dhabi Strategic Plan, and the directives for applying green building specifications on all buildings in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as per the best environment‐friendly international standards adapted to local conditions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to keep Abu Dhabi a healthy city that follows the highest standards of sustainable development and has clean pollution‐free environment, Terra International Construction LLC Believe that Estidama is an aspiration ‐ a manifestation of visionary governance that puts emphasis on carefully and responsibly managed development.

Thus, Terra have been committed to implement all sustainability requirement based on the local statutory requirement in line with the International requirement in order to support the following purposes of Estidama.

1. Estidama regulations are improving the performance of buildings in Abu Dhabi by reducing the consumption of energy, water and materials, improving public health, safety and general welfare.
2. Enhancing the planning, design, construction and operation of buildings to create an excellent city that provides the essence of success and comfort of living.
3. The regulations intend to support Abu Dhabi Strategic Plan, create a more sustainable urban environment and extend the ability of the Emirate’s infrastructure to meet the needs of future development.
4. Sustainability is the practice of creating structures and using processes that increase the efficiency of resource use ‐energy, water, and materials‐ while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building’s lifecycle, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal.

Terra paid a great attention to sustainability and Estidama requirement and promotes sustainability in how buildings are designed, built, and operated. Thus, Terra performing and successfully handover the following projects which achieved 3 Pearl Rating.

1. Discovery Park South at Masdar City.
2. Space Agency Park a Masdar City.

Moreover, Terra have been parts of many projects which achieved 2 Pearl Ratings including but not limited to the following projects:

1. Al Ain Hospital International.
2. Yas South Development
3. Yas Arena
4. Masdar Neighborhood

Based on the above, Terra International Construction awarded a membership in the United State Green Building Council USGBC as an active member.

USGBC is best known for the development of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating systems and Green‐build, a green building conference and expo that promotes the “green building” industry, including environmentally responsible materials, sustainable architecture techniques and public policy.

This membership will allow us to share their mission to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built, and operated through LEED—enabling an environmentally and socially responsible environment that improves the quality of life.

USGBC has developed a variety of programs and services, and works closely with key industry and research organizations and federal, state and local government agencies, and by sharing this programs with Terra, it will support and enable us to achieve the Estidama objectives.
